Hello and welcome to Peelin’ & Reelin’ Fishing Charters! I am your Captain, Troy Weaver. I have been fishing for as long as I can remember, and I have always had a strong passion for being on the water. Growing up in North Central Florida, my fishing days primarily started with freshwater in the local rivers and ponds that surrounded my hometown of Gainesville.

When I was 16, I was finally able to purchase my first boat, which was a Gheenoe and a fish catching machine. I started to fish saltwater more and more and began to really enjoy targeting Redfish, Trout, and other inshore fish species. In 2012 I moved to Jacksonville, FL and was excited to be even closer to the saltwater. After growing out of the Gheenoe I was able to upgrade to a 16ft Sea Fox Flats Boat and soon after Peelin’ & Reelin’ was born. At first the charter business was just a side job something I did on my days off from my real job because I liked it. However, in January 2021 I was able to purchase a beautiful 22ft center console and make Peelin’ & Reelin’ Fishing Charters my full-time business!
